ABOUT

ISIKOLE

ISIKOLE is an isiZulu word for school. Children attend school to be educated, empowered and prepared for the future. Children who underperform are often referred to tutors and specialised centres where teachers with specific skills can provide additional support. But where do we send schools that fail to meet their objectives or that seek to maximise their operational efficiency and/or profitability?

ISIKOLE is an organisational development consultancy established to assist schools in maximising their operational efficiency by developing their teams and shaping appropriate competitive strategies.

We help schools understand their operating environment, clientele, capabilities and opportunities. Once a school has identified and adopted its competitive strategy, we assist in developing the capacity required to achieve its objectives and fulfil its mission.

ISIKOLE is the brainchild of Mondli Caluza, who has worked in schools for more than two decades. His passion for education and his love for children have seen him work in diverse educational settings, including Chibelihle Combined School in eMpendle, KwaZulu-Natal, and Crawford International in Sandton.
He is independently contracted by several public and independent higher education institutions as a PGCE teaching practice assessor, lecturer and BEd marker. He has also previously worked as a CPTD teacher trainer at STADIO’s Montana campus.

Mondli holds a PGCE in Mathematics Education and is registered with SACE. In 2018, he obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specialising in Organisational Behaviour. His dissertation was subsequently published in the Journal of Management and Administration.

His research examined the impact of job satisfaction on teachers’ intention to leave their employment in an independent Christian school in Johannesburg.
Outside the education sector, Mondli is the pastor of Scottsville Community Church, a new church plant in Pietermaritzburg. He is married to Nomzamo and is the father of Jethro and Reuel.
